Synopsis

Film about life in a typical English village. The people in the film go about their daily business: women are doing the laundry and other housework; the children go to school, where, amongst other things the girls are taught how to use a spinning wheel, and the boys are taught woodwork. Farmers are ploughing and harvesting. Other shots show a blacksmith and a potter at work. Some people are participating in a fox-hunt. A few soldiers and old men visit a pub. Boys are playing cricket.
