Synopsis

The official film record of the Prince of Wales' tour of India and Burma, 1921-22. Covering Bombay, Poona, Bharatpur, Allahabad, Lucknow, Benares, Rangoon, Mandalay, Nepal, Madras, Patiala and the Khyber Pass. Also featuring a tiger hunt, pig-sticking, horse racing, polo and Tibetan dances.

Note: Filmed by George Woods-Taylor working for Cinechrome, which originally announced its release as twelve one-reel episodes in April 1922 (no date fixed), but then picked up for distribution by Stoll and released as six two-reelers in June 1922. The Cinechrome version was reviewed as WITH THE PRINCE OF WALES THROUGH INDIA AND BURMA; the Stoll release was reviewed as WITH H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES THROUGH INDIA AND BURMA; the surviving copy bears the title THROUGH INDIA AND BURMA WITH H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES (Official Film).
