Synopsis

Amateur film showing everyday life in the Hunter household in Uttar Pradesh.

Mr Hnter introduces films by titles. In train nearing Meerut. Station at Meerut. Train drawing in. Porter taking up luggage from passengers. Indian railway station scenes: outside station, getting into car, driving home along the Mall. Arrival at bungalow. Garden and outside bungalow. The Hunters. Frances introducing her dolls and playing with parents in garden. Grandfather and Grandmother reading and Mrs Hunter. Porchway. Putting up tent. Cycling up to front door and bicycle taken in by servant. Frances and her parents playing.

Before Christmas 1928. Hunters at home playing in garden. Naive food seller. Three children arrive for lessons with Frances on ponies. Playing in garden. Buying goods on verandah from Chinese man. The well. Gardeners. Old and faithful servant called the Bearer. The servants quarters. Picnic by canal.

Off to the hills. Lying on verandah. Training going up to hills. Mussoorie, Unpacking car. Street scenes- bullock carts. Crossing Ganges canal. Street scenes. Going up hill road - mending road.
