Synopsis

ACTUALITY. The arrival in Calcutta of a Handley Page aircraft after the flight from England.

"Their Excellencies advancing to welcome the airmen" (82). LS of biplane and group of dignataries (108). LS of two airmen standing by the biplane (116). "Congratulations" (122). The airmen are congratulated by the dignataries (180). "The Hon. Margarete Thesiger follows her father" (186). A little girl, watched by her mother, follows her father up a ladder into the biplane (195). Two men in the cockpit, one of then is Mr. Thesiger (?) (223). People mill about by the biplane (304). Their Excellencies (?) enter their car and drive off (313); three ladies enter their car and are driven off (335). LS the biplane is dragged backwards from the airfield, the crowds follow (402).
