Synopsis

TOPICAL. Disembarkation of King George V and Queen Mary, returning from India.

"The 'Medina' arrives Portsmouth - Their Majesties disembarking". Shot of Royal Party descending gangway. The crowds, Royal Marine band, ships in the background. The Royal train sets off. The train arrives at a station in snow to cheering crowds. "Arrival in London en route for Buckingham Palace". Royal coaches preceded by Horseguards along Whitehall(?), around the corner of Admiralty Arch. Crowds line the bunting festooned streets. The procession drives along the Mall and arrives at the gates of Buckingham Palace. "The King and Queen acknowledge their subjects' welcome". King George V and Queen Mary appear on the balcony and wave to the crowd (359ft).

Notes: There is another copy held which lacks the Royal train setting off and arrival in London (300ft).
