Synopsis

RAF Hawker Hurricane fighter-bombers conduct an exercise in close air support near Meiktila, central Burma.

A plume of dust and smoke from an ordnance impact. RAF Hawker Hurricanes flying at low level firing 3-inch Rocket Projectiles (also referred to as 'RP' or 60-lb rockets). Infantry, accompanied by armoured cars, advance across open ground as Hurricanes make low passes over the objective

Notes

Sergeant Layzell's dopesheet gives the location as three miles south of Meiktila. The units involved are not clear, however RAF 28 Squadron and their Hurricanes were based at Meiktila when this film was shot.
