Synopsis

Short documentary about the game of football.

Opening with Cup Final (Wolves 3, Leicester 1), film shows football being played in backstreets, at school and by amateur teams, including Chinese and Nigerian visitors. FA HQ - Stanley Rous; FA coaching. Preston North End - training, physiotherapy, winning 3-2 away against Fulham. Amateur teams in villages and factories. International match between England and Argentina (1-1). Football has become "a truly international game, in which sportsmen from all countries meet in keen and friendly rivalry".
