Synopsis

Japanese envoys, led by Lieutenant-General Takazo Numata (Chief of Staff, Southern Army) and Rear Admiral Kaigye Chudo (Deputy Chief of Staff), depart from Mingaladon airfield after signing a preliminary treaty at Government House, Rangoon, Burma.

Japanese envoys arrive by station wagon at Mingaladon airfield. They board their aircraft (a Mitsubishi Ki-57 'Topsy' transport with green 'surrender crosses' on its fuselage). The aircraft departs.
