Synopsis

Japanese envoys, led by Lieutenant-General Takazo Numata (Chief of Staff, Southern Army) and Rear Admiral Kaigye Chudo (Deputy Chief of Staff), depart from Mingaladon airfield after signing a preliminary treaty at Government House, Rangoon, Burma.

Vehicles arrive at Mingaladon with two parked Mitsubishi Ki-57 'Topsy' transport aircraft in the background. The departing Japanese delegation walk across the airfield. They are formally seen off by Air Vice Marshal Bouchier (commander RAF 221 Group) and Major-General Symes (commander South Burma District). The delegates board their aircraft; a bystander has his hat blown off by the wash from one of the plane's engines. The aircraft taxiing away.

Notes

All of the above are very wide shots from a high point (the airfield control tower?); no close-ups or medium shots. Some of the latter portion is fogged.
