Synopsis

DRAMA. A group of settlers are attacked by Arabs and lions.

Three settlers are besieged by a group of hostile Arabs. The settler's wife manages to phone for help to a neighbouring settler, Jean Lestrac, who sets off on his horse across the intervening lion-infested country to try to rescue them. As Jean settles down to camp for the night he hears a lion. Climbing on top of a boulder, he shoots the lion as it bounds towards his horse. He continues his journey. Next morning, Jean's sister manages to reach another group of settlers, who instantly mount their horses and set off to help. Meanwhile the Arabs set fire to the farmhouse where the besieged settlers have run out of ammunition. Jean arrives and shoots one of the Arabs before being wounded himself. The rescue party arrives in time to disperse the Arabs. (1020ft).
