Synopsis

Lord Louis Mountbatten, Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia Command, is seen en route to Singapore with General Slim, commander-in-chief Allied Land Forces South East Asia.

At Mingaladon airfield near Rangoon, Burma, Mountbatten and Slim chat with Lieutenant-General Sir Montagu Stopford, commander of 12th Army. Mountbatten talking with two men (RAF Police?). Slim and Mountbatten boarding a Douglas Dakota transport aircraft. Sir Keith Park, Allied Air Commander-in-Chief, seen talking with Air Vice Marshal Cecil Bouchier and others. Park boarding the aircraft. Mountbatten and Slim with a naval officer standing in front of a parked Mosquito aircraft. Park talking with a group of airmen. Panning view, apparently at Kuala Lumpur airfield, showing local people, servicemen and officers. Party on an airfield at Kuala Lumpur. Rangoon: Mountbatten and Slim step down from a Dakota and are received by Keith Park.
