Synopsis

Freed Allied prisoners of war, released from Japanese captivity in Singapore, are evacuated by air from Kallang airport.

Notes

Dopesheet states that four of these men were of 1st Battalion, Manchester Regiment, and had 12 years service overseas.

Air evacuation of prisoners of war and internees accounted for only some 3,000 individuals, with the vast majority going by sea from Singapore.
