Synopsis

Amateur film with titles shot by Major John Knyvett of 2nd Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment records biblical and modern scenes in Palestine.

Arabs at Bethany. Sea level sign on route towards Dead Sea. Wadj el Kelt and Greek monastery. Street scenes with Arabs in Jericho and Nablus. Guard duty by A Company, 2nd Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment and regimental emblem. Car by roadside near Nazareth. British soldiers, and troops with fez caps, practise rifle firing at Semakh. Fairey III F Mk IV planes of RAF 14 Squadron (based at Amman and Ramleh for patrol duties from December 1929 to September 1932) fly overhead and wait on ground. River Jordan leaving Sea of Galilee. Hot water springs and mosque at Tiberias. Bedouins help push Major Knyvett's large car stuck by roadside. Country at Beisan. Police post at Jiftlik. Three Englishmen hunting quail in country near Jericho. Mountain of Temptation.
