Synopsis

Amateur film taken by an unknown British cameraman of the victory parade by 23rd Indian Division of the Indian Army, comprising 1 Indian Infantry Brigade (Brigadier R C M King), 37 Indian Infantry Brigade (Brigadier N Macdonald) and 49 Indian Infantry Brigade (Brigadier A W S Mallaby) after Operation Zipper. Commander of 15 Corps General Christison takes the salute.

Notes

Summary: shot shortly before Division was posted to Java (West Java and Surabaya), where it suffered heavy casualties in operations against Indonesian forces fighting for independence and the end of Dutch colonial rule in the Netherlands East Indies.
