Synopsis

Amateur film shot by Midshipman Ian Shuttleworth while serving on HMS Salisbury in the Far East between August 1963 and September 1964 during Confronation in Borneo records leave in Hong Kong, carrier and helicopter activity, Crossing the Line ceremony and shore scenes in Malta, Gibraltar and West Africa.

Audio commentary followed by historical interview recorded on DAT by Ian Shuttleworth over IWM DVD copy of his films on 2/5/2006 by KG as SA . Cine Camera (Serial No: 694441) used to film to be acquired by Department of Exhibits and Firearms, 2006.
