II. 'ITALY DAY BY DAY.' This item duplicates Item II of WPN 133.

III. 'NEWS FROM ENGLAND.' This item duplicates Item III of WPN 133.

IV. 'RUSSIA.' This item duplicates Item IV of WPN 133.

V. 'US BOMBERS SMASH JAP BASES IN SOUTH PACIFIC.' Camera gun footage shows a United States (US) interdiction attack on a Japanese airfield on the Northern coast of New Guinea. Aerial footage shows United States Army Air Force (USAAF) bombs impacting on Japanese jungle positions. USAAF North American B-25 Mitchell bomber aircraft drop delayed action bombs on a Japanese airfield during a low-level attack. Smoke rises over the Gilbert and Ellice Islands. USN Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bombers attack Japanese merchant shipping off Tarawa. A Dauntless "traps" on the deck of an unidentified USN aircraft carrier. Brief footage shows USN ratings indulging in horseplay during a crossing the line ceremony.

Summary: item V has an American commentary. This issue was presumably assembled by the WPN team for exhibition to US forces in the Middle East in the absence of a complete US newsreel.
