This film is held by the Imperial War Museum (ID: WPN 290).

Synopsis

I. 'FRAGMENTS FROM ITALY.' This item duplicates Item II of WPN 139.

II. 'NEW GUINEA- AN EPIC OF JUNGLE WARFARE.' This item duplicates Item III of WPN 139.

III. 'CHIANG KAI-SHEK HOST TO ALLIED LEADERS IN ASIA.' Lord Louis Mountbatten chats to General Joseph Stilwell at a meeting hosted by Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek at Chungking. Mountbatten and Stilwell pose for photographs with Generalissimo and Madame Chiang Kai-shek.

IV. 'US ARMY NURSES TRAIN UNDER FIRE FOR DUTY OVERSEAS.' United States Army nurses crawl under barbed wire in full battle gear during a live-firing exercise. An instructor fires a water-cooled Browning .30-inch machine gun over the heads of the prone female nurses (The Browning has been pre-set for height). Extended footage shows the live-firing exercise. US Army nurses disembark into knee-high surf from a Landing Craft Infantry (LCI), their progress made easier by helpful infantrymen who carry their personal effects.

V. '44 NATIONS MEET IN THE US- PLEDGE WORLD RELIEF.' Panoramic footage shows a tented refugee camp in French North Africa (or Syria). Italian refugees wheel bicycles and carry belongings. An Italian child helps with the cooking on an open fire that burns by a roadside. Elderly Italians speak to officials at a United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Agency (UNRRA) office at an undisclosed location. Interior footage shows delegates at the inaugural meeting of UNRRA held in the United States. Andrei A Gromyko signs the agreement to establish UNRRA and is shown shaking hands with Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Lord Halifax signs for Britain. Roosevelt makes a brief speech (mute).

Notes

Summary: items III - V have an American commentary. This issue was presumably assembled by the WPN team for exhibition to US forces in the Middle East in the absence of a complete US newsreel.
