Synopsis

Military action in Malaya in the early and middle 1950s. This shows helicopters of the Royal Navy (S.55s) combining with British and other troops in the jungle campaign against the insurgents in the Malay Emergency. Troops and supplies are transported into the jungle and troops are shown in the jungle & in the fortified highland villages of the Malay Aboriginal peoples.

Production / Donor Details: Captain Wilson served as a senior pilot for 22 months with 848 Helicopter Squadron in Malaya during the Emergency in the 1950s.
