Synopsis

ACTUALITY. The departure of Joseph Chamberlain, Secretary of State for the Colonies, for South Africa to sign the Boer peace treaty.

MS Chamberlain alighting from a railway carriage with his wife; they are greeted by a group of people on the platform; Chamberlain walks to the ship alone. The cruiser, HMS Good Hope, sailing out of the harbour (41ft).
