Synopsis

Scenes at the annual Hull fair.

Replacement title (0.07). Man at boxing booth gesturing to unseen crowd.The man wearing a light coloured jersey. In the background is the lower portion of a boxing painting with the name Burge and Pritchard. Sign to right of man reads 2d [per] round nobody barred ; pan continues showing lower portion of Corbett and Mitchell fight and Corfield and Gower; a large seascape with painted lifebelt reading of Hull Blithion Pan continues to six men gesturing to crowd in foreground. The men wear light-coloured jerseys. The men blow horns and shake football rattles. Two of the men are black. (Presumably all these men are the boxers of the booth and are gesturing to the crowd to fight them). A food stall - a woman wearing a shawl over her head rips up and wraps piece of paper ready for the man cooking the food beside her. The cooked food is not seen - possibly chips as salt and vinegar is sprinkled over the contents of the paper (1.26). A strength machine - a man, with a large mallets, hits the strength machine a number of times (1.49mins).
