Synopsis

Trimming logs and moving them to the edge of a hill so they can slide down. Pushing them over a 400ft cliff, at the bottom of the hill, towards the river. Road making on steep slope at Thangi. Filmmaker's wife, "as cinema heroine", up steep slope with mule. Pitching camp at Hiranghati. Checking slopes to find road path. "Tibetan coolies" at work building the road. Thangi villagers replacing their hollowed tree trunk water channel by blasting a new one in the rock. Crossing Sutlej river by rope bridge/pulley. Destruction in Sdilling Forest caused by avalanche winds. Hard going on Tibetan trade route. "Mongolian types of Tibetan borderland".
