Synopsis

Animated film sponsored by the Empire Marketing Board, it is designed to persuade British consumers that 'Empire Buying Begins at Home'. It promotes British grown and produced products, and provides statistics about the contribution such sales make to the British economy, e.g. Sale of home-grown corn: ONE YEAR S SALE (1925) £27,000,000. The film promotes : Fruit; Scottish beef; Welsh lamb; Wool; Pig Meat; Dairy produce and Fish. It ends with these products being dropped by aircraft into shops below with final slogan 'Empire buying begins at Home'. (Note: this could be a cross-reference to EMB sponsored 'fly-overs' by Amy Johnson promoting British products)
