Synopsis

INTEREST: Scenes from around the world of different forms of beasts of burden.

No credits. MCU Mountie comes across a rope bridge on horseback towards the camera followed by a man on foot leading a donkey (7-19). MS rocky mountain path along which loaded donkeys walk (24-38). MS woman is helped into a donkey cart driven by a young black man. (A sign behind them reads Bermuda Tourist Bureau). They ride off (42-52). MCU black farm workers walk home from the fields with donkey. Several carry baskets on their heads (60-70). MS huskies jumping around a man, a sledge is pulled along by a team of dogs and is followed by another person (75-87). MS an Indian straps a sack of grain on to the back of a llama and leads it away (95-121). MS llamas on a hillside walk towards and past the camera (121-137). In India, ox-drawn carts drive past the camera followed by elephants (144-164). MCU elephants with their drivers pass the camera (172-182. MS under a bridge in the Philippines where a water buffalo pulls a cart followed by two men on motorbikes (193-210). MS water buffalo in a river watched over by a man. Boats are moored along the far bank (218-225). MS streeet market with hand barrows lining a street (possibly in the USA) (231-243).
