Synopsis

Views of Beas River. Silver jubilee celebrations. Schoolboys' gym exhibition with crowds watching. "Capt. H. H. Raja Sir Jogindar Sen, K.C.S.I" holds durbar and parade - arrival in Rolls Royce, troops, parade grounds. Garden party at palace, palace grounds, 'pitcher race' (running with jugs full of water) and wrestling. Janjahli- visit from two 'gods'; Kuthwa fair with crowds and merry-go-rounds. Man climbs a tall spruce tree. 'Crow's Beak', the old execution rock. Gaddi Shepherds. Villager at work on weaving loom. Rough going in Mandi Seraj; climbing head of Magru valley on mules. Boy opening his birthday presents, building a model castle. Village cricket game at Thensar. The game of Kabaddi. On the move again - women planting rice in flooded fields; fording the Suketi river; monsoon flood damage to road at Urla; cutting up a tree blocking the road; 'coolies' clearing the entrance to Urla rest house, blocked by a mud slide.
