Synopsis

The life of the people of the Naga Hills, Assam, including sports activities and tribal ceremonies, presented within a fictional framework.

Rl. 1. Map showing location of Naga Hills (37). The chief and some young men of Kiyesha, a Sema village, setting out to work in the paddy fields. A group of women and children standing outside the huts (148). Kohoto, a stranger, arrives in the village. While he is resting, Nyimsao, a Lota refugee, steals his pack, and succeeds in pinning the blame on another tribesman, Kheseto, who is driven from the village (618). "An outcast he roams the Naga Hills and sees Kabui dances". A number of tribal dances (1141). Manipuri sports meeting, polo (1303), hockey (1400), and wrestling (1600).
