Synopsis

Ceremonies on a large parade ground.

A line of decorated elephants (2). On a parade ground in front of a stand two teams of ?Sikh troops give a drill and sword display (41). Procession of elephants and flag carrying troops (117). Carriages pulled by large goats; elephants with howdahs; a large white building and spectators are visible in the distance (201). Foot soldiers, wearing turbans, and carrying flags (214). The procession gathered in a line, elephants to the fore. A European, wearing pith helmet, gives some instructions (251). Decorated camel (258). The line of elephants begin to move forward (269ft).

Note: A researcher has indentified this film as showing the Calcutta Pageant held on the afternoon of 5 January 1912 as part of the Delhi Durbar.
