Synopsis

"Madras. Review of the Leinster Regiment at Fort St George. Three cheers for HRH, their Colonel-in-Chief". Prince of Wales inspects troops.

"Typical scenes in a native village in Madras". Two women look at camera. A woman dancing. Pan of village. "The local sweet shop". Trays on ground. "Native conjurors - the snake charmer". Very brief shot of snake charmer,

"Bangalore. The Prince reviews British troops. Charge of the 2nd Dragoon Guards (the Queen's Boys).

"Cubbon Park, Bangalore. Presentation and municipal address". Horse-drawn carriage and crowds.

"Mysore. Arriving at the ancient city of Mysorre, The Prince drives from the station in the Maharaja's state coach". Procession drives through a large arch.

"The Amba Vilas Palace"

"The Picturesque bodyguard of H.H. The Maharaja". Pan elaborate, ornamentally dressed bodyguard.

"Crowds inside the palace courtyard. A striking example of the liberty and freedom enjoyed by the people of the progressive ruler of this State". The Prince visits the fort at Seringopatam by motor car and sees the mosque inside.

"The rice harvest. The primitive method of threshing - the rice is beaten out on stones". This process is shown.

"A still older method. Oxen trampling out the grain". Four oxen walking in a circle trampling grain.

"Brahmin Temple and gods, also within the fort. The first cinematographic record of these places of worship". Ext. Temple and statues of gods.

"Mysore. The juggernaut car. Under the wheels of this car many hundreds have throw themselves in sacrifice...a barbaric observance, now prohibited by law".A large, elaborate cart built up high.

Prince and Maharaja "Off to a tiger hint". "In the Jungle". The platform on which the `guns' await the tiger's approach. The chief huntsman goes to bring back a dead tiger - the shooting is not seen. "Beaters clearing away the undergrowth". Native worker. "A fine speciman of a royal Bengal tiger". Tiger measured. Colonel Wogram `bagged' the tiger and stands beside it.

"Hyderabad HRH The Prince and HEH The Nizam drive to Palak Numa palace. Procession in horse-drawn carriage. "The Prince and the Nizam walking to the Durbar at Chow Mahalla Palce".

"Scenes in the city. Char Minar, a new police state"
