Synopsis

Depicts the building and opening of the London Missionary Society Hospital, Mbereshi, North Rhodesia. Also includes a survey of the work of the hospital and medical work carried out in the district, including the dispensary at Kazembe. LMS mission staff featured include Dr. Perry, Superintendant of the hospital; Miss Eileen Taylor, Matron; Dr. Margaret Morton, first woman doctor at Mbereshi; and Miss Cole, district Midwife and Nurse, who is shown visiting remote villages in the area.
