Synopsis

INTEREST. A 1924 works outing for employees of Pullars of Perth to the British Empire Exhibition in Wembley, the Cenotaph, and Westminster Abbey.

"THE EXCURSION TO WEMBLEY OF EMPLOYEES OF Pillars of Perth THE FAMOUS CLEANERS AND DYERS." (12). "The arrival was 7.30a.m. This is Wembley Station just before that hour." (20). LS central platforms at Wembley Station; a train is pulling into the far platform; pan right, some passengers alight (28). "This is the outside of the station, showing some of the party arriving." (36). The street outside the station, crowds walk towards the camera (46). "The Directors and Mr R. Macgregor Mitchell, M.P. for Perth, awaiting the excursionists inside the Exhibition." (55). LS a group of men in suits and bowler hats waiting at the top of some steps (outside?); the men descend the steps towards the camera (78). MS the group of four men waiting (93).
