Synopsis

Viceroy's Durbar in Lahore Fort, October 1937: ornate occasion with drapings, carpets, taking the salute, escorts and carriages [washed out colour that ends in balck and white]. Camel carriage for Governor's state entry to races; hunt meeting at Hariki Road with horses and hounds [colour]. All-India exhibition, December 1937 - views around the pavilions, exhibits in the forestry pavilion, crowds, stuffed animals in scenes. William Tatem Tilden and Henri Cochet play exhibition tennis. Students visit excavations at Harappa, viewing the museum and large outdoor lunch in courtyard. Children's party January 1938, games and tea. Punjab Light Horse sports [black and white].
