The Jones Collection is made up of films taken by the renowned epidemiologist and expert on tropical disease, Cenydd Richard Jones. Jones, who was awarded the MBE, OBE and CBE for his work in the field of medicine, worked for the Colonial Medical Service between 1949 and 1967, before working as an epidemiologist for the World Health Organisation in Africa until 1981. The films in the collection contain footage shot in Aden, Kenya, and numerous reels of British Guiana.
