Synopsis

I. Entry of Mediterranean and Home Fleet ships into Grand Harbour, Malta (15th March 1952).

I. Long distance shot of fleet approaching Malta. HMS Superb (wearing flag of FO Flotillas "Home" Rear-Admiral Robson) and HMS Liverpool (wearing flag of C-in-C Med, Sir John Edelsten) enter breakwater. Panorama of Manxman and flotillas from St Elmo's Point. Entry of HMS Glasgow (wearing flag of Vice-Admiral Edwards).

II. First Sea Lord witnessing Combined Fleet Exercise "Full Toss" in HMS Liverpool (22nd March, 1952).

II. First Sea Lord and C-in-C board HMS Liverpool. Superb leaves harbour, and passes Liverpool. First Sea Lord and C-in-C on quarterdeck. HMS Superb and HMS Manxman at sea, HMS Indomitable flying off aircraft, Manxman, HMS Cleopatra coming up astern. Aircraft pass over. Various distance shots of Indomitable, Manxman and Cleopatra. Various shots of First Sea Lord and C-in-C on bridge of HMS Liverpool (AM, 23/3/1952). First Sea Lord leaves HMS Liverpool (taken under awning); he and C-in-C leave Liverpool in barge.
