Synopsis

Survivors from Empire Windrush at Gibraltar, March 1954.

HMS Triumph arrives at Gibraltar from Algiers followed by general views of transport. Survivors of the Empire Windrush disembark from Triumph; women and children embark in every available means of transport to be taken to the assembly centre at Gibraltar. General views and close-ups of survivors. Lady Mountbatten talks to a group of soldiers and survivors and also to senior naval officers. General views of transport loaded with survivors followed by CUs of children.
