Synopsis

The Mediterranean Fleet at Gibraltar, April 1954.

Mediterranean Fleet and French Destroyer Squadron leave harbour at Gibraltar for combined exercises in the Mediterranean before their visit to Toulon. Mr Meade, Consul General Marseilles, arrives onboard HMS Glasgow to call on Admiral Mountbatten. Scenes of Vice-Admiral Lambert and Vice-Admiral Mariani, French Navy (Commandant l'Escadre) arriving onboard Glasgow, being greeted by Admiral Mountbatten and inspecting the ceremonial guard.
