Synopsis

The visit of the Military Governor Algeciras to Admiral Sir Michael Denny, Commander-in-Chief, Home Fleet.

Spanish minesweeper Guadalorce enters Gibraltar Naval Harbour accompanied by two admiral's barges and comes alongside South Mole after passing HMS Defender. British naval ratings assist in berthing the ship. The Military Governor Algeciras, in staff car flying the Spanish Ensign, approaches HMS Tyne, headquarters of Admiral Denny (C-in-C Home Fleet) and is received on board by the C-in-C. He inspects Guard and is introduced to staff officer. Military Governor takes leave of C-in-C, and a personal salute of seventeen guns is fired.
