Synopsis

Rehearsal of Fleet concert party. "Blue Jackets" band of HMS St Angelo marches down Kingsway, Valletta; crowd lines street. Street Lining party provided by Malta shore establishments takes up positions in Kingsway. Band and Royal Guard of Honour marches onto Palace Square. The drive down Kingsway of HRH. Duke takes salute and inspects Guard. Duke with Governor of Malta outside Palace. Shots of crowd in Palace Square and behind street lining party.

(Taken in Palace.) Duke and Governor walk along one of the corridors. HRH in the Red Room of the Palace. Members of the new Parliament and their wives are presented to the Duke. HRH at concert party.

(Taken on day of opening of New Parliament.) Platoons formed up ready to march to street lining positions. Army Platoons line route. GOC Malta inspects street lining party. Malta police escorts Duke to the Palace. Duke driving down Kingsway to the Palace.
