HMS TIGER AND HMS ALBION TRANSPORT TROOPS TO SARAWAK

Synopsis

I. Reel Two. LS along the quayside at Labuan as soldiers disembark from HMS Tiger. HA from the ship to the quayside - a group of men disperse after a short briefing, soldiers await transport, their arms laid out on the ground. Tiger leaves Labuan. On the return to Singapore there is a practice shoot with the 3-inch and 6-inch guns.

II. Reel Two. Long sequence showing the commando carrier HMS Albion coming in to go alongside at Singapore. She embarks transport and men of 40 Commando.

HMS Tiger disembarks men of the 1st Green Jackets at Labuan, as part of the forces deployed to put down the Brunei Revolt, and at Singapore HMS Albion embarks men and equipment of 40 Commando for transport to Kuching to help stabilise West Sarawak.
