Synopsis

I. Ships of the Eastern Fleet pass in MS-MLS - HMS Devonshire, HMS Warspite, HMS Gambia (?), HMS Resolution, HMAS Nizam (G.38), the Hunt Class destroyer HMS Catterick (L.81).

II. Scenes onboard HMS Resolution. LA.MS from below catapult on 'X' turret as Walrus is launched over the camera. HA.MS of HA.DCT (high angle direction control tower) crew and pan left to crewmen fell in on portside of focsle - ship entering port. Cut to Royal Marines fell in on quarter deck. LA.MS of White Ensign flying from ensign staff. Ratings on quarter deck heave on rope. LS off the port quarter of HMS Warspite steaming in company with Resolution. CU of member of the gun crew of 4-inch AA. HA.MS of quadruple 2-pounder on 'B' turret, and pan forward to 'A' - men are sunbathing on the focsle. Crew relax in a swimming pool set up on deck. Sequence in port - launch arrives with Indian troops who are shown round the ship - soldier looks through the sights of an Oerlikon, rating shows a small party the main armament at 'A' turret. LA.MS of the bridge front of Resolution, and pan down to 'A' and 'B' turrets. Destroyer passes - only the bow and stern are shown. HA.MS to after turrets trained over the starboard beam for a shoot - 'Y' turret fires by single barrels. Twin 4-inch, abreast funnel on portside, fires off. Crewmen line the rail as Resolution enters port. In harbour, a destroyer passes close to the cameraship - Warspite and a fleet oiler in the background.
