Synopsis

I. 'Sydney'. Governor General, Duke of Gloucester, takes the salute at a march past in support of the Third Victory Loan - participants in the parade include Royal Navy, Australian army and RAAF, VADs and WRNS.

II. 'War Bond Hats'. Women's fashion.

III. 'Heavy Units of Royal Navy in Australia'. Elements of the BPF enter Sydney harbour - HMS Black Prince, HMS Argonaut, HMS Indomitable, HMS Illustrious, with Corsairs on deck, HMS King George V, the destroyer HMS Undine (R.42) - "renewed reminder of Britain's naval might, a matchless combination of men and ships". CUs of ship's name plate on King George V and ornamental covers to tompions. An Indian midshipman "gives an Empire touch". CUs of Rawlings and Vian on Indomitable. A Hellcat is brought up on elevator and towed off by a by a tractor. Hellcat unfolds wings and is suspended from the ship's crane to test under-carriage. CU as arrester hook is extended. Cut to flagship HMS Howe and HMNZS Achilles entering Auckland. Men of Achilles parade through the city, "back after two years of action on the seven seas". Final sequence shows Howe exercising with the Dominion's new cruiser HMNZS Gambia - Howe fires light AA at sleeve target, Gambia launches torpedoes, battleship opens up with main battery.
