Synopsis

A North African convoy on the first leg of its voyage from England to Gibraltar.

Convoy at sea. MS fine on the port bow of a passenger ship in heavy sea. LS to a second ship of the convoy. MS of port forebody of one of the Highland Class Royal Mail cargo-passenger ships. MSs of the escorting carrier HMS Argus. Sequence on the cameraship (either HMS Maidstone or Forth) showing starboard and port side quadruple 2-pounder AA - gun crews leap to action stations. Similar sequence as gun crew of forward twin 4.5-inch gun go to action stations, train round to port and go to maximum elevation. HA onto the focsle as crew man the side for entry into Gibraltar. Cut back to convoy at sea - LS of destroyer and pan to a second, a V/W Class long range escort. MLS of Argus steaming in line ahead of cameraship. MLS of escorting destroyer - possibly HMS Jervis. A Town Class cruiser (HMS Sheffield ?) is also part of the escort. Confused sequences show lookouts on duty, officers on the bridge, and the entry into Gibraltar.
