Synopsis

Amateur film shot by Group-Captain Hugh Verity shows English Electric Canberra B.6. at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, before aerial and ground views of airfields en route to and from Singapore: Akrotiri (Cyprus), Bahrain, Karachi Civil, Katunayake (Ceylon), Penang and Butterworth (Malaya), Changi and Paya Lebar (Singapore), Ceylon (beach scenes), Gan (Maldive Islands), Aden, Nairobi (Kenya), Kano (Nigeria), Idris (Libya) and RAF Marham, Norfolk.

Notes

Summary: Accompanying Group-Verity were Commander Pearse, Major Taylor and Wing Commander Owen (Names taken from handwritten note on lid of film can).
