7 May 1943. First escort vessel and merchant ship City of Florence enters harbour at Valletta. Harbour tug proceeds to ships. Naval crew of Multipol Pompom watching ships. Material unloaded into lighters moored alongside merchant ships. Troops from Mauritius unload the lighters.

8 May 1943. A parade organised by the Band Clubs of Malta to celebrate the fall of Tunis and Bizerta, held in Kingsway and the Palace Square, Valletta. Maltese children with a straw dummy of Mussolini, which they set fire to. The Royal Malta Artillery band play. The crowd listens to an address in Maltese and applauds. The demonstration breaks up.

10 Aug. 1943. Showbill outside cinema. The troops did not know that Noel Coward was to appear. He arrives at the rest camp with Brigadier De La Bere and talks to the troops. The Brigadier's car arrives at the General Hospital with Coward aboard. Coward in the hospital grounds with patients, mainly casualties from Sicily. He shakes hands with a patient and leaves the ward.
