HRH THE DUKE OF GLOUCESTER VISITS THE 10TH ARMY IN IRAQ

Synopsis

HRH emplanes at Heliopolis, Egypt, with his staff and arrives at Baghdad, Iraq. He inspects guard of honour. Shots of General Quinan (GOC 10th Army) and General Lane, AAQMG (Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster General) 10th Army. HRH arrives at the British Embassy. He inspects a guard of honour consisting of Punjabis and the 9th Gurkhas. The DCLI (Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry) band plays. He leaves the Embassy to inspect the 26th Corps of Signals and also the 24th Combined General Hospital wards. Indian nurses. HRH inspects the 3/8th Punjabi Regiment, the 2/10th Gurkhas and the 21st Brigade HQ and decorates Indian troops for gallantry. Inspection of RIAOC (RIASC ?) workshops. HRH receives guests at the British Embassy reception together with Sir Kinahan and Lady Cornwallis.
