Synopsis

Indian sappers and miners detect and clear mines left by the retreating Germans on the road beyond Gabs. The Fourth Indian Division Field Artillery in an attack on Mount Romana, an enemy position.

Signs on the roads near Gabs. An artillery barrage at night. The sappers are beckoned by locals to clear their vegetable gardens and cornfields of mines. The jemadar in charge locates and removes a mine. 25 pounders in action. Prisoners. Indians in Bren gun carriers moving up. Large numbers of prisoners (mainly Italian) pouring in. Tanks and guns going into action. Tanks cutting through a cornfield.
