Synopsis

The cruiser Aurora with the King on board sails into Grand Harbour, Valletta. Field Marshal Viscount Gort leaves the Customs House steps and boards the Admiral's barge. The King arrives alongside the quay and steps ashore where he is greeted by Lord Gort. They stand to attention as God Save the King is played by the band of the Royal Malta Artillery. A Guard of Honour on the quayside formed by the Royal Malta Artillery. The crowd in the square outside the Palace of Valletta.

Long shot from the back of a moving car as the King drives from the harbour. In the Palace yard a young girl presents a bouquet to the King on behalf of the girl students. Various shots taken from the back of the car as it drives through Valletta. Various shots of crowds clapping and cheering as the King drives through Malta. The King walking through Senglea. Welcoming crowds as the King drives through Malta. The King inspects an RAF Guard of Honour at Luka aerodrome. Crowds cheering and clapping in the streets. The King and Lord Gort driving into Verdala Palace.

King George VI visits Malta and is greeted by welcoming crowds.
