Synopsis

Film shot in northern Burma, probably in late December 1944, showing a raft being used by 36th Division to convey vehicles across a river, probably the Irrawaddy.

A lorry marked with the insignia of 36th Division is driven carefully onto a small raft. The raft is pushed off. Raft being paddled. Men (probably Indian Engineers) eating from a pan with chapatis. British soldier at an outboard motor. British soldier foreground with view over the river. Local boatmen conveying troops with pagodas on the far bank. Berthing raft on the far side. Driving off the lorry. Shirtless soldier with rifle standing by Union flag. Raft with lorry. Raft approaching and lorry driving off. Onboard raft with a number of Sikh engineers.
