Synopsis

I. The RAF Regiment at Buckingham Palace. The RAF Regiment mounts guard at Buckingham Palace (April 1) as part of RAF twenty fifth anniversary celebrations. King and Queen visit air stations, and watch ground activity and Spitfires taking off.

II. "Middle East Desert Doctor." Tent surgery at Advance Dressing Station 21 MRS RAF. A converted Bristol Bombay transports seriously wounded to base hospital.

III. "Hats off..." "Hats off to" a. Pilot Officer Cody, for shooting down an enemy Junkers during a royal visit. b. A French hotelier, recently imprisoned in Algeria by the Vichy French, seen demonstrating an Austrian artillery Luger captured in 1917 to "some of the boys." c. Wing Commander Pickard, for the second bar to his DSO. d. 'Madame Pavlichenko', successful Red Army sniper.

IV. Tripoli. a. "Desert Cup Final." b. Air Vice Marshal Broadhurst, commander of the Western Desert Air Forces, congratulates the winning soccer team.

V. "News Digest." a. A Typhoon makes a forced landing. b. Boxing Match in Tripolitania. c. Low-level attack by Mustangs ("locomotive busters"). d. 'Spotty', a Polish squadron's mascot.

VI. Gibraltar: crates of Spitfire components unloaded in harbour, and assembled.

VII. Germany: boxer Max Schmeling trains as a paratrooper (propaganda commentary).
