Ghadge recieves the V.C. posthumously, for his bravery in the Italian campaign. His widow receives a purse of ten thousand rupees and a yearly income of five hundred rupees from the Bombay government. IV. "THE BURMESE SCENE". Allied soldiers and Burmese civilians collect supplies that have been dropped into the open fields outside of the city.
