Synopsis

I. "PAGEANTRY IN PALESTINE". King's birthday parade is the biggest ever held in Palestine, involving units from India, Britain and the Middle East, a celebration of Allied military might. II. "SIMLA CONFERENCE FAILS". The conference was unable to agree about the strength and composition of the Executive Council. III. "JAPS DESTROYED IN NEW GUINEA". The Royal Australian Navy has opened up the strip of land of Wewak, the last area still held by the Japanese on the New Guinea coast line. Tanks and infantry move up along the beach, past abandoned Japanese equipment, and continue to advance into the hinterland.
