Synopsis

I. "BOMBAY FETES JOHN GIELGUD". The world famous Shakespearean actor visits the Information Files of India and the Rajkamal Kalamandir Studios where he is received by Shantarem, India's leading film director. II. "WORLD PERSONALITIES AT THE P.E.N. CONFERENCE". A distinguished gathering of writers from Soviet Russia, China and Britain join Indian writers, known and unknown, at this Conference. III. "THE RAILWAY OF DEATH". Pictures of one of the greatest crimes perpetrated by Japan - the railway of death. Sixty thousand men and women perished whilst working on the Moulmein Bangkok Railway. IV. "JAAP FORCES CONTINUE TO SURRENDER". General Yamashite surrenders in the Phillipines. General Imamura and Vice Admiral Kusaka sign their surrender at Rabaul. General Kanda and Admiral Shamajibe sign the surrender terms in the battle room of the 2nd Australian Corps Headquarters.
